BIOGRAPHY
MC LEE as he’s popularly called is a rapper/songwriter and a
performing artist. He’s also a certified networking
administrator/engineer, a qualification he bagged at the Cisco
Networking Academy, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Born and raised in
Benin City, the capital of Edo State, MC LEE’s love for music started at
a very young age.
2006/07 marked the start of MC LEE’s career when he was admitted into
the famous Ahmadu Bello University. In between studies, he took out
time to hit the studios and recorded a couple of underground tracks; a
move that made him famous around the city of Kaduna and within campus.
He carved a niche for himself that every show had his name and face on
their posters.
2010 saw a different part of him as he emerged the winner of Sprite
Triple Slam (Season 2) in the Kaduna regionals with Eldee the Don as the
judge. He made the crowd go wild and threw them in frenzy when he
stylishly dropped the mic during the cause of the audition. That
singular act won him loads of accolades and major interviews from
various TV channels and an exclusive interview from MTV Base. Eldee
professionally described him as “a great performer”. He has since
performed in some shows around the country.
In 2009, MC LEE was the opening act for Durella at the Easter Rocks
at Abesan Estate, also the opening act for Sauce kid when he came to
Kaduna, he was also a guest artist at the Christed Records Mixtape, a
guest artist at the Shakers Awards in Kogi State University and Dynamix
Awards Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He was also at the Glo “Rock n
Rule” show in Kaduna with Wande Coal, Eedris Abdulkareem, P-Square with
Basket Mouth and Ramsey Noah as the Host.
He was nominated for crème de la crème at the Dynamix youth award and
had a review on the Dynamix magazine; he won the “artiste of the year”
at the Ahmadu Bello University Prime awards. He’s got the likes of Don
Jazzy, Dokta Frabz, Tiwa Savage, DPrince, Alaye, TY Mix,VC Perez, E
kelly, Laura Ikeji, Kevin Chuwang Pam, Elizabeth Gupta Pam, kollertunz,
Godwon, DJ Jimmyjatt,Denrele of Channel O,Adamz of Soundcity,Flowssick
and a few other celebrities gracing his twitter follower’s list.
Presently, MC LEE is the BRAND AMBASSADOR to AIRTEL…He featured and
played the lead role in the new Airtel TVC for their thematic campaigne
tagged “Padi Good thing O!”..where he was branded and popularly referred
to as “Half Dollar”…

of MC LEE (Half Dollar)…carefully scripted and acted out!!!…How friends

emphasize the value of friends and captures the philosophy of the

He is currently being managed by Down2earth Records, a record
label/management owned by Kevin Chuwang Pam (Winner, Big Brother
Africa).
MC LEE is well respected for his excellent delivery of his flow laced
with punchlines and extremely sense of marketability. He has proven
himself to be a consistent rapper and he’s carved a niche for himself as
a multi-talented artist. He is single (for now); he is one rapper
Nigerians crave to have on their playlists, home theatre systems and car
stereos. He is unique, hardworking and diligent.
